About Me, Leah Doberne-Schor, EdS LPC
Counselor in Lexington, SC and Columbia, SC
I believe in the importance of a supportive, respectful, collaborative and individualized counseling relationship.
One that's down-to-earth, accepting (non-judgmental), caring and affirming - prioritizing you and your unique counseling needs.

My Counseling Approach
You can’t get therapy from a friend, a book, or AI—it’s the relationship with a skilled, attuned therapist that makes the difference.
We'll work together to identify your counseling goals, bring relief and work towards the change you seek in your life. I draw from humanistic (accepting people as they are), family systems, experiential, existential (meaning-making), attachment, narrative, mindfulness, Gottman and trauma informed counseling models. I value each person as they are -- including their orientation, identity, gender, sexuality, beliefs, and experiences. Practice areas include: Couples (all stages and types) Parents and families, including those raising children with disabilities, ongoing healthcare needs, or neurodivergence (like autism and ADHD) Women who experience burnout and overwhelm Adults and teens experiencing anxiety, depression, grief or stress Adults and teens who identify as Neurodivergent (autism, ADHD, etc.) Individuals and couples navigating life transitions Co-parents who want to work together to support their child(ren) Agencies and organizations -- for support groups, presentations or workshops
