Couples/relationship counseling is the heart of it all. Our relationships don't come with manuals. Couples counseling is a place where you, together, can reconnect, learn new ways of being, rekindle the spark, and repair and strengthen your relationship.  Beyond my graduate training in couples counseling, I am certified in the Gottman Method of Couples Counseling (Level 1).

Parents/caregivers of children with disabilities (including autism, ADHD and learning differences) have a huge job! Beyond the normal challenges, there are extra responsibilities and stress. I know first-hand how extra support can help families -- adults and kids -- thrive.

One of my passions is working with parents, caregivers, and families of children with disabilities. Counseling can help you manage stress, implement positive parenting strategies, connect with your child, become an effective advocate, and coordinate your child's care team. Counseling can help you feel centered, so you can parent intentionally. 

Before becoming a counselor I was parent-educator at Family Connection of SC (a nonprofit serving families raising children with disabilities). In graduate school I worked at a family therapy clinic, connecting with parents/caregivers of children from diverse backgrounds and needs. 

I am trained in Stepping Stones Triple P, a positive parenting program for families raising children with disabilities.

My background in family counseling and knowledge of practical skills (and resources) can help you can be there for yourself and your family!

I see counseling as a place where teens can be themselves, and feel listened to and accepted for who they are. Especially these days, teens can really benefit from counseling to find support and help manage the many stresses and worries they experience. 

The teen years are also an opportunity to set a foundation for life-long habits, including managing feelings of  anxiety, stress, or sadness; friendship and relationship skills; and wellness habits. 

My training includes an intensive internship at Richland School District 2 where I counseled students (especially middle and high school students) and their families. 

As a systemically oriented therapist, I also work with parents/caregivers of teens.
