Marriage Counseling & Couples Therapy in Lexington, SC and Columbia, SC

It hurts because it matters. And it doesn't have to stay this way.

We can’t take it anymore. We argue so often. We miss our sense of connection.

Can you help us communicate better?

Feel more connected with each other?

Recover from a betrayal or a loss of trust?

We’re at the early stages of our relationship. We're thinking of getting married, moving in, or taking a big step forward together.

Can you help us create a solid foundation in this moment of change?

One (or both) of us identifies as neurodivergent (such as autism or ADHD) or has an experience of trauma.

How can we support one another?

As an experienced therapist for couples in South Carolina, I work with couples (of all types) to help you learn communication strategies, rebuild trust, grow closer and strengthen your relationship. I'll start by taking the time to know you and identifying, with you, your unique counseling goals. While every couple is different, goals might include: Improving communication, increasing a sense of connection Recovering from a hurt or betrayal Growing together in support, love and acceptance Navigating life transitions, parenting challenges, ongoing physical and/or mental health needs My training includes graduate level coursework in couples counseling, clinical supervision in couples counseling, and training in the Gottman Method of couples counseling (level 1).

Parenting Support

Parents and caregivers -- especially when you're raising children with disabilities or special healthcare needs (including autism, ADHD and learning differences) have a huge job!

Beyond the normal challenges, there are so many extra responsibilities and stresses.

You don't have to walk this path alone.

It happened again, just yesterday. The challenging behavior. The judging relative. The teacher who just doesn't get it.

You find yourself saying:

I'm just so overwhelmed.

I'm waiting for the other shoe to drop!

I want to know that I'm doing it right!

I don't know how much more of this I can take!

I'm passionate about providing experienced counseling services for parents, caregivers, and families of children with disabilities. I help parents and families Manage stress and burnout Connect with their child Navigate the challenges of parenting a child with a disability Counseling can help you feel centered, so you can parent intentionally. I've walked alongside and supported families raising children with disabilities, and helping them grow skills including navigating IEPs and 504s and advocating for their children. I'm trained in Stepping Stones Triple P, a positive parenting program for families raising children with disabilities. Beyond the counseling room, I've developed and presented workshops for parents/caregivers, including "Parenting Success" in Spring of 2025 for Autism Connect.
